About Contact and Help

steve41Hi

I’m Steve and I am a full time web master and owner of several technology based websites.

I have many years experience in the tech area. After graduating with a degree in electronics in 1979 I spent approximately 17 years as an engineer and manager in the telecommunications Industry.

I then moved on in 1995 to IT and became a Microsoft certified trainer and spent over 10 very enjoyable years doing technical training and consulting.

In 2000 I developed an interest in the web which was just starting to become popular, and started training IIS server (Microsoft web server).

In 2003 I started this site which was to become the first of several technology “how to” sites.

You may be wondering why the site isn’t about designing websites, and the simple answer is that I’m not a web designer, and never will be.

In the brick and mortar world of house building you have architects and builders.

You can equate these functions to web designers and web builders in the web building world.

Fortunately in the online world there are many excellent professional designs (free and low cost) which means that most sites don’t need a designer.

The aim of this website to to help you understand the basics of website building using WordPress so that you create and manage your own website.

Thank You for taking the time to visit this site, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the site. If you have any comments or questions then please use the contact form and let me know.
