Sidebar Navigation and Widgets

The WordPress template we are using is widget capable and the default sidebar contains a list of pages, Archive, search, categories etc. This can easily be modified by dragging a widget from from the available widgets to the sidebar.

Site Layout Overview

All announcement type messages will appear on the blog and hence be blog posts. Excerpts of the most recent blog posts will be included on the home page.

All other content will be on pages. A rough partial sketch is shown below.

It is not envisaged that there will be more than 20 pages (not including posts) and so a flat structure can be adopted if however the number of pages increases then you will need to develop another level of hierarchy.
