Many people ask about website design services, and there seems to be some confusion about what design is needed.

As way of explanation you might compare building a website with building a house.

How many people actually build their own house?

Most people buy existing houses or developer built houses (UK probably well over 95%) where the design has already been done for them.

A very small number of people want something bespoke, and so they use an architect and either self build or have it built.

Returning to websites you can use WordPress, and an existing theme which means that you don't need a designer or you can go for a bespoke design which means you will need a web designer.
