You may also need to change the font size for the page. This is done in Trellian webpage and it will be remembered for the rest of the page until you change it again by creating a Header tag for example. The Verdana 10 point font is probably the most commonly used font. This is  shown in the screenshot below:

Or use increase/decrease fonts

To stop them being displayed go to Edit>Editor Options and de-select the show details by clicking it.

Tip 3 Using the built in FTP client

Trellian WebPage also comes with an FTP client which allows you to copy web pages between your local computer and the Internet server (your Website). To use it go to File>Explore Remote site(FTP). To connect click connect and fill out the connection form with your site details. and don't forget to save it so that you don't need to enter it each time. Use the default local path to set the path on your local computer to transfer files from and the default remote path to set the path on your website to transfer files to .i.e.

  • default local path is the location on your computer where your web pages are stored. for example  k:\webs
  • default remote path is the location on the web server where you will transfer you files to this is generally left blank. (you may want to see website layout for more detail).

Notice that the slashes are opposite In the screen shot below I haven't filled in the local and remote paths and the username and password are false. The hostname is the name of the website (Usually your domain name minus the www) and the ftp site name is a name of your choice in my case I've named in after my hosting provider. The most important setting is the hostname if this is incorrect the transfer will not work.

Your hosting provider will supply you with the details but if you have purchased your own domain name then it is usually the domain name if you are using a free website provider then it will normally be of the form freehost.com/~yourname. If you have problems then use the contact form and let me know your details and I will try to help.

Tip 4 -Spell Checking

To spell check the web page click edit>Check Spelling

Tip 5 - Explorer pane to enable browsing.

If you want to display an explorer window inside Trellian webpage so you can easily browse and locate pages then click Window and enable site explorer (see picture below).

Tip 6 Setting Trellian Webpage as the default html editor
