Using IFrames to Display Calendars

This is an example of what I consider to be a very nice use of IFrames. I often get requests about incorporating a calendar on a website.

Although you can get the appropriate PHP or ASP and implement your own many already use some form of calendaring system. The ones most people have or can easy get come with Yahoo email and MSN hotmail accounts.

 With both of these accounts you can share your calendar either with friends or the general public. Once shared the calendar becomes available as a web page.

For my demonstration and for security I have taken a copy of the actual calendars and placed them on my website

Here is the demonstration page (opens in new window) showing two uses. The first has the hotmail and Yahoo calendars side by side and the second shows how you can use a single frame and select which calendar will be displayed in it.
