Building Affiliate WebsitesHave you found an affiliate program you want to promote but are unsure of how to proceed? When I first started on the Internet about 4 years ago the standard approach was to build a website and look for affiliate programs that fitted with the site theme. This approach is detailed thoroughly in the Nets number one resource The affiliate Masters guide which if you haven't read you should, and best of all its free. The guide was written before Google Adwords and so the main method used for driving traffic to a site was via natural search. This meant that you needed to achieve good search engine rankings which in turn meant that you needed a content heavy site. However Google Adwords has made it easy and affordable to obtain highly targeted traffic without having to go to the time and trouble of building a 30-100 page website. This new approach uses mini websites (1-10 pages) and PPC advertising (Google Adwords) to drive traffic and is the approach used by The commission junction Million dollar affiliate Jeremy Palmer and explained in his High performance affiliate marketing ebook. Whichever approach you decide to take you can find out how to build a website by following the articles on this site.
